Amazon Prime Day 2020: How to Start Prepping

We’re halfway through the year and already 2020 has had more plot twists than most blockbuster movies. And one of the ramifications of this strange year is that Amazon has postponed their annual Prime Day event to September. While the date hasn’t officially been announced, the rumor is that Tuesday, September 22nd will be the big day. (UPDATE: Amazon just postponed again to the week of Oct 5th!)

If you’ve been selling on Amazon for awhile, you know that Amazon doesn’t release Prime Day specifics until much closer to the actual event. That said, if you want to take advantage of this mega selling event, you’ll need to start prepping much sooner.

For now, get in the habit of checking for Prime Day Lightning Deals at least twice per week.

Go to Seller Central >> Advertising >> Deals >> Create a Deal to check:

Setting Up Amazon Prime Day Deals 2020

If prior years are any indication, it will likely just say “Prime Week” and you won’t get any date or time specifics until much closer.

These deals go quickly, so the important thing right now is to grab up any that are available as soon as you see them. You can decide much closer to the event if you want to keep them, how much inventory you want to make available, and if you want to do a deeper discount.
